Project description: User wanted a PowerPoint-like dashboard which is attractive, contained some dynamic text and told a holistic story when it came to reporting revenues. They wanted a more controlled dashboard so that the leadership is not lost in navigating through different categories, but they did require the option to filter through Revenue Generating Areas and dates. First was to be viewed constantly on a TV screen as a fixed page where all the KPIs and their trends were visible. Project description Replicated the Budget Variance Report which was previously available on the legacy IBM Cognos platform and inefficient to work with on Power BI for the Finance Department enabling them to view and filter through the report quickly and have much more options to drill down, drill-through and filter the report for different department to fulfill any last minute ad hoc requests from the users or leadership alike. The aim was to create a dynamic allpurpose dashboard for the planning and budgeting team so they can easily and quickly present to the leadership without having to repeat the process of data extraction, compilation, analysis and reporting everytime they meet the leadership. Through this dashboard, they could simply apply the relevant filters, select required parameters and take snapshots to add to the presentation or simply present from the dashboard. They also required a Gantt Chart through which they could see patterns of employee journey in the organization.
