PROFESSIONAL experience (6 years)
DAMAC Properties, Dubai – April 2015—February 2018 (Document Controller – Data Analyst)
Helped ease communication between all stakeholders (site project teams, consultants, commercial and MIS departments, and government entities) and eliminated 85% of the bottlenecks related to documentation and information queries. Accomplished this in an aggressive one-month timeframe by designing and creating a priority sequencing schedule database for the over 10,000-house project. Generated and distributed daily and weekly summary dashboard reports from this database to upper management. Trained senior staff in managing and handling the database and its related processes before handover.
Increased project data accuracy and reduced information conflicts between internal client departments, consultant and contractors by creating database of the 2000+ apartments, hotel rooms and suites including all interior fixings and fit-out items. Hence, was able to accurately incorporate design/supply changes and quantify procurement costs and generate estimated budget vs. anticipated costs comparison report. Providing this report to upper management and concerned departments significantly reduced processing time for supplier/contractor invoices and helped speed up variation approvals.
CDM International, Islamabad – December 2009—January 2011 (Technical Writer)
Reduced mistakes in the design team’s produced literature to zero by writing and reviewing all incoming/outgoing project activity--including progress reports and presentations--and ensuring all communication material related to project activities and deliverables conformed to USAID requirements/standards. Increased USAID funding for existing projects by 20% and spread awareness of the company’s new projects by representing the project team in Communications Workgroup meetings between USAID and major NGOs based in Islamabad.
Emaar Pakistan, Islamabad – February 2008—April 2009 (Office Engineer)
Developed a departmental database that captured project data--with an emphasis on drawings--and thus improved accuracy and availability of this data for all stakeholders.
Assisted Project Managers by:
Creating/editing CPAs, PM Cert sheets, and other ongoing process documentation.
Conducting site inspections and documenting snags.
Extracting information from Weekly/Monthly Reports for use in summarized data reports.
Drafting and distributing meeting minutes.
Maintaining project site office documentation (both hard and soft copies) including all site correspondence, construction and shop drawings (with revision tracking), and invoices with cover sheets and forms.
Ensuring timely issue and approvals of all mentioned documentation by relevant authorities and stakeholders.
In recognition of my performance of the above activities, I was assigned to manage the refurbishing and rectification works of the project sales centre—a project milestone due before project inauguration ceremony--and I delivered it ahead of the strict deadline.
In addition to project-centric duties, I also carried out site office administrative tasks, such as keeping a record of stationery and other site office assets, compiling order requests, and liaising with relevant departments for fulfilling said requests.
Deutsche Welthungerhilfe / German Agro Action, Islamabad – June 2007—October 2007 (Programme Enumerator)
Worked as an on-call-contract employee for the NGO. Visited regional project partner offices in Kashmir and NWFP and conducted Focus Group Discussions and Semi-Structured Interviews with partner staff, reviewed reports and extracting project progress information, compiled and analyzed the data, and prepared a programme report under the supervision of M&E Expert country office in Islamabad.
Pathways Foreign Education Consultancy, Islamabad – February 2007—May 2007 (Project Lead)

Developed the Pathways Student Handbook; a highly detailed walkthrough for Pakistani students wishing to pursue international education.
British Training Consultancy (BTC), Islamabad – October 2006—January 2007 (Business Development Officer)
Overlooked sales operations, conducted market research, arranged and held seminars in various institutes, organized company records and generated daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
