Before going freelance, I worked for a well-known digital marketing agency in Cape Town, South Africa. During my time here, I was a senior copywriter, specifically writing for SEO and PPC
campaigns. My responsibilities also involved creating original content for websites and blogs, as well as proofreading campaigns before they went live.

Another aspect of my job was direct marketing. I was involved with planning, strategising and implementing email and text message campaigns for clients. In addition, I wrote the content for the messages, managed the responses from recipients.

As a freelancer, I have enjoyed working on a wide variety of marketing campaigns and writing jobs. For three years, I was the content specialist for a large home improvement website in South Africa. My responsibilities included researching topics, writing articles and blog posts, uploading the content in the backend of the website and their WordPress blog, and sourcing stock images.

Ghostwriting is another skill I have enjoyed developing as a freelancer. I have written three travel books and an illustrated children’s story. This skill is particularly good as it combines both writing and editing in one project.

I have a Bachelor of Arts Honours from the University of Cape Town, graduating in 2007. For my undergraduate degree, I had a duel major of English and Screenwriting. In my honours year, I specialised in Film Production.

During my studies, I learnt a range of valuable skills and different techniques, including writing fictional stories, scripts, feature articles and academic papers. In a personal capacity, I have contributed to a variety of newsletters and blogs, as well as creating my own blog and running it for several years.

In addition to writing and editing, I also work as an actor and voice over artist. My recording studio is based at home, and I am able to provide edited voice recordings in both WAV and Mp3 format.
