I am a dedicated microbiologist with an M.Phil. from GC University Lahore and a strong passion for research, analysis, and scientific communication. Over the past few years, I have honed my expertise in microbial biotechnology, particularly through my thesis titled “Exploration of Soil Microbiota for Amylase-Producing Bacteria.” This project allowed me to delve deep into microbial screening and process optimization, where I successfully isolated and identified bacterial strains capable of producing industrially relevant enzymes.
My research was centered on leveraging cost-effective substrates such as agro-waste to boost amylase production. I designed and executed submerged fermentation experiments, followed by enzyme quantification using the DNS assay. To further purify and characterize the enzyme, I carried out protein precipitation with ammonium sulfate, and analyzed the protein profile using SDS-PAGE. These steps not only improved the enzyme’s yield but also its specific activity, which was crucial for potential industrial application.
I employed 16S rRNA gene sequencing for molecular characterization to accurately identify the bacterial strains, and conducted multiple sequence alignment using MEGA 12. My work extended into statistical modeling as well, where I utilized Design Expert software to apply Response Surface Methodology (RSM) via Central Composite Design (CCD) for optimizing fermentation parameters. In addition, I leveraged SPSS for data analysis, ensuring rigorous statistical validation of experimental results.
Beyond the bench, I have a natural ability to transform complex scientific data into clear, actionable insights, which has been demonstrated through my scientific writing and contributions to peer-reviewed research publications. With five published articles to my name, I have showcased my skills in synthesizing information, drafting comprehensive literature reviews, and presenting research findings in a compelling manner.
I am proficient in using a variety of analytical tools and software, including Design Expert for experimental design, MEGA 12 for bioinformatics, SPSS for statistical analysis, as well as standard office software like Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data visualization and presentation. My academic and research experiences have instilled in me a meticulous attention to detail and a relentless drive to contribute innovative solutions in the field of enzyme biotechnology and microbial optimization.
I am now seeking remote or hybrid opportunities where I can apply my research expertise, data analysis skills, and technical writing experience to projects in biotechnology, R&D, or scientific consulting. I am excited to collaborate with teams that value rigorous research and impactful scientific advancement.
