Evangelos Georgiou

I studied in the Department of Statistics at the University of the Aegean. My attendance at this gave me the opportunity to explore this science and get important theoretical background knowledge.

I realized that the field that intrigued me more was that of biostatistics; hence I attended the Master of Science in Statistics, with direction in "Statistical Methods in Medical and Pharmaceuticals", at Athens University of Economics.

I worked 6 years at the Mother - Child Study "RHEA", Medical School of Medicine, University of Crete and 2 years at the Laboratory of Toxicology and Forensic Chemistry, where I had opportunity to apply the knowledge I gained during my studies.

Also, I worked 4.5 years at the University of Cyprus, Department of Psychology and I was responsible as a Manager for conducting the European survey “European Social Survey Round 10”, continuously developing my skills to respond effectively to the field of research. Furthermore, I was responsible for external surveys, both for their conduct and for the statistical analysis and presentation of the results, such as Cyprus Post Office, University of Cyprus Graduates, Ministry of Health, Cyprus Land Development Organization.

My published work includes over 40 publications in international journals and nine (9) conference papers, of which eight (8) are international and one (1) is European.
