UK Music (July 2015 – June 2017)
Event and communications officer at the trade organisation for the UK music industry. Responsibilities included:
• Informing UK Music members (PRS, PPL, AIM, Music Venue Trust, Live Group, MMF, BASCA, FAC, MPG
and the MPA) about its upcoming events via a weekly newsletter.
• Planning and executing industry dinners and parliamentary debates on key issues in the music industry
including streaming, transparency and intellectual property.
• Hosting numerous panels and interviewing artists for UK Music’s social media and events.
• Writing press releases and managing campaigns (including interviews and launch) for UK Music’s annual
reports which evaluated the economic value of the music sector.
• Controlling the press, policy and events budgets and maintaining UK Music’s social media presence across
all platforms including 124k followers on Twitter.
• Arranging all educational events in schools and universities across the UK with musicians, producers, and
industry professionals. I successfully sold out a music industry education day at Ministry of Sound in
October 2016 which gained press exposure in Music Week and M Magazine amongst others.
• Acquiring support from artists towards campaigns – for example, I arranged for Groove Armada, Loco
Dice, Mixmag and Alan Fitzpatrick to support UK Music’s #Letitbeeb campaign to help protect BBC music
services during the Charter Review in 2016.
Black Note Management (June 2016- Present)
Founder and artist manager. Clients include techno producer Kris Davis and singer Laura Riganti. Duties include:
• Continuous relationship management with each artist and their team - liaising with agents, lawyers,
promoters and labels.
• Negotiating record deals, arranging national and international gigs, chasing accounts, controlling finances,
seeking new opportunities for each artist, organising photo shoots, managing social media accounts and
approving press.
Black Book Co-op (September 2014- June 2015)
Artist manager at music and fashion management company. Clients included: B.Traits (Radio 1), Daisy Lowe, Elle
MacPherson, Laura Riganti and Kris Davis. Key responsibilities were to:
• Seek out new clients for the company – founded Laura Riganti and Kris Davis.
• Select tracks from pluggers for B.Traits’ BBC Radio 1 show.
• Be pro-active in arranging press and gigs for artists and manage PR campaigns surrounding EP releases.
• Co-ordinate recordings sessions, seek out musicians for shows, liaise with artists’ label, press team, and
agents.
• Arrange gigs whilst accompanying artists to ensure events run smoothly including panels at LEAF and IMS.
Givafizz (September 2013 - January 2014)
Writer for house and disco music blog ‘Givafizz’ (Melbourne, Australia). Responsibilities were to:
• Arrange interviews and guestmixes with local and overseas DJs.
• Manage the social media pages by providing engaging content for its followers.

Harmony Management (March 2012 - July 2013)
Assistant artist manager at Harmony Management. Clients included Kissy Sell Out, You Me Bum Bum Train
(YMBBT), Union DJs. Key responsibilities were to:
• Tour manage artists at national and international gigs.
• Timetable meetings, minute take, record expenses, manage and update client databases, send out record
label contracts and proofread outgoing communications.
• Provide extensive diary management for MD and all artists.
• Provide thorough planning of weekly national and international trips for artists and MD.
• Liaise continuously with industry contacts - agents, journalists and media representatives.
• Compile guest lists for events as well as coordinate private parties for MD.
• Organise private nights for celebrities and investors, source props and event manage for immersive
theatre production YMBBT.
• Act as production manager for video shoots which involved crucial planning and organisation.
Champion Records/Madtech Records (January 2012 - March 2012)
Internship at London record label. Key responsibilities were to:
● Update labels websites with original content using Dreamweaver.
● Research various genres of music and locate unsigned artists to put forward to A&R Director.
● Assist A&R Director and Promotions Manager with marketing campaigns for releases.
● Manage the Champion Records and Madtech social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter).
Union London (June 2011 - January 2012)
Senior Promotions Manager at the UK's largest student promotions company. Key responsibilities were to:
● Successfully manage a team of 15 promoters, ensuring all revenue targets were surpassed whilst
increasing and maintaining attention towards the 'Union' brand at festival stages (SW4, Global Gathering
and Creamfields) and clubs (Fabric London).
● Recruit new promoters, arrange meetings and lead briefing sessions.
● Liaise with artists performing at the events (including Skream, Annie Mac, Sub Focus).
● Provide assistance to marketing company Splendid Communications in their collaborative project with
Diageo to promote beer ‘Jeremiah Weed’ across London.
● Increase attention towards the Union brand through face to face interaction, emailing universities to
increase group bookings and strategically targeting universities outside London.
Forward Thinking Music (June-August 2011)
Internship at an agency which offers management and marketing services for artists, labels and events. Clients
included Steve Lawler, Timo Maas, Tim Green, Bedlam and Secret Sundaze. Key responsibilities were to:
• Assist Directors with day-to-day logistics of artists’ upcoming shows.
• Manage clients social media accounts – developing strategies to increase attention to clients social media
sites.
