With a degree in Mass Communication majoring in Broadcasting, I have a good command of the English language. This has made it a bit easy for me to land a job as a Customer Service Representative in one of the first online travel agencies in the Philippines.
I then transferred to the BPO industry which has improved my overall skills in supporting foreign customers and clients. The diversity of services and products in the BPO industry, plus the various amount of output required daily, has developed in me the ability to work under pressure with grace.
A career shift to online freelancing 7 years ago is one of the best decisions I have made. I maybe confined in working at home but the amount of knowledge I have gained here is comparably more that the skills I have acquired from being in a corporate environment. I've come to realize that this is what I actually love doing more than any other job in the world.
