I have over 20-year experience as an organized full-time employee administrative and executive assistant in import-export companies and a foreign news company.

As an import-export documentation assistant in garment manufacturers, my job includes detailed documentation required in compliance and liaising with concerned government agencies and commercial banks in the documentation of shipments from the importation of supplies to the exportation of the finished products. I coordinated with both sea and air shipping agents based on the volume requirements of the goods.

As Philippine Bureau staff member of the Japanese media, I assisted the foreign correspondents in media coverage, did research for news features and fact-checking of information, coordinated logistics for the news coverage of international conferences and summits of ministers and heads of states, set appointments for an interview, and arranged travel requirements for local and foreign correspondents from regional and overseas bureaus. This job requires me to be precise and methodical in preparing the analysis and presentation of data such as election results and economic figures that have to be transformed into information for news articles. I know basic accounting and financial analysis.

These skills initially prepared me when I started to venture into a freelancing business. As a freelance assistant, I have been doing academic research and content writing mainly for small businesses in the landscape contractor sector creating company profiles and drafting business proposals for their clients in the realty and hotel and resort industry.

My journey in freelancing led me to learn skills as an efficient virtual assistant on digital platforms to help entrepreneurs and start-up businesses in administrative and other back-end tasks to help them focus on business growth. It becomes a passion to assist not only local clients but also overseas clients who believe that skills are not location-based. Newly acquired skills in graphic content creation using online tools, web research, e-mail and calendar management, social media management, and reports development dashboards are tasks I can primarily offer for prospective remote clients.
