Esther Boatemah Owusu

I am an aspiring data analyst with a strong interest in using data to solve problems and support better decision-making. With a background in social sciences and recent training in data analytics, I am looking for internship or freelance opportunities to build experience and apply what I’ve learned in real-world situations.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work with Sociology from the University of Ghana, where I developed research and critical thinking skills. To strengthen my technical abilities, I completed the Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate, and further training through ALX and HerTechTrail Academy. These programs introduced me to key tools and techniques such as Excel, SQL, Python, Tableau, and data visualization.

Through my training, I’ve gained hands-on experience in collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and presenting data. I enjoy organizing messy data into clear insights, and I’m always eager to learn more. I’ve worked on small projects and assignments that involved creating dashboards, generating reports, and finding trends that could help inform decisions.

I’m familiar with tools like Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Power BI, and Jupyter Notebook, and I’m comfortable working remotely using tools like Slack, Zoom, and Trello. I enjoy both working independently and being part of a team.

As someone who is curious, committed, and always ready to learn, I’m excited about opportunities where I can support data teams, contribute to meaningful work, and grow my skills on the job. I’m especially interested in projects related to social impact, healthcare, and education, but I’m open to working in any area where I can add value and gain experience.

In the long run, I hope to grow into a skilled data analyst who helps organizations make better, data-informed decisions. For now, I’m seeking entry-level roles, internships, or freelance projects that will help me learn, contribute, and build a strong career foundation.
