Essi Savijoki

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and Marketing of Fashion Textiles from the University of Manchester, with a year abroad at the Swedish School of Textiles in Borås. My final year project was around social media marketing, my focus was on developing a new mobile app layout for an established fashion retailer.

After graduating, I worked at Zara in Manchester and London, both as a sales assistant and a visual merchandiser. I also have some experience in creating window displays. I moved back to Finland in 2017 and started working as a visual merchandiser at Jack&Jones in Helsinki.

In 2018 I started my studies at the University of Helsinki, where I study English and Spanish. Next autumn I will start my studies in the Master's programme of translating English. I have done an internship in translating and I also work as a part-time English teacher. Translating and copy writing is my passion, but thanks to my previous degree I also have a lot of knowledge about marketing and the fashion industry.
