Chicago's Erica Switzer thrills crowds with her unique energy and raw, biting wit. She has supported veteran comedians The Comedy Cellar's Simeon Goodson, Laugh Factory's Mateen Stewart, America's Got Talent's Justin Rivera. Along with co-founding Shanghai’s Blackout Comedy and founding Hei Now Comedy, China's premier Black comedy crew, she became the first Black comedian to perform in Mongolia at the inaugural Silk Road International Comedy Festival in July 2019. After winning Flappers Comedy Clubs' Soup-or-Bowl in October 2020, she was a featured performer and panelist at the NY Underground Comedy Festival. Selected for the 29th LA Comedy Festival, other 2021 festivals include World Series of Comedy, Burbank Comedy Festival Best of Fest, and Laugh Riot Grrrl Festival. Featured in Facebook X Variety's ‘Room For Discussion: Mentorship & Black Women in Comedy’ featuring Michelle Buteau, London Hughes, and Sam Jay, Feb 2021. 2022 festivals include Chicago's World Comedy Expo and NYC's Black Women in Comedy Laff Fest. She produced "Erica Switzer & Friends" at the 2023 Black Women in Comedy Laff Fest. She also appeared on comedian Marina Franklin's Friends Like Us podcast on a Fan Favorite episode with Sarah Cooper and Zainab Johnson.
