Experience
Director of Academics, Carrabassett Valley Academy —-
Responsible for daily academic operations at private high school with 80-100 students,
managing 13 teachers covering grades 7 through Post Grad. Scheduling, registrar,
teaching, budgeting and advisor duties all involved as well as overseeing the 1:1 iPad
program. Heavy emphasis on customer support, on boarding new families, and
leadership in day to day activities of the school. In addition, I have taught several
classes including Middle School Social Studies, Life Science, Business Economics and
Sociology.
Technology Integration Mentor — 2006-08
Responsible for assisting teachers with integrating technology. This included creating
lesson plans that took advantage of 1:1 technology in the classroom, troubleshooting
and assessment planning. Lead trainer for new technology. Member of the district
leadership team.
Social Studies Teacher —-
Taught 8th grade Social Studies, responsible for developing their Social Studies
curriculum from scratch. Served on Middle School team. Served as Regional
Integration Mentor for Maine Learning Technology Initiative. This state wide program
provided an Apple laptop to each middle school student in the state of Maine.
Group Home Manager -
Managed a group home for developmentally disabled adults. Responsible for staffing,
budgeting, medication administration and documentation.
