My Writing Background
My interest in writing was carefully cultivated by Chinua Achebe, Mario Puzo, Fyodor Dostoyevsky and a host of other authors. For years, they took me on exciting voyages to distant lands through their works. They showed me the beauty in humanity without whitewashing the evil. And when life threatens to overwhelm me, I often escape through their books. In some ways, their works still speak to my soul. But more importantly, they planted the seed of writing in me.

I started writing in high school. No, I don't mean writing high school essays. I wrote on various topics that I was passionate about and my writings were posted on the press board. And despite studying Biochemistry and Microbiology in college, I never stopped writing on social issues or purely literary content.

My Experience
For the past 5 years, I've been working part-time as a foreign affairs columnist for Explorer Magazine. In 2011, I came across the works of David Ogilvy and my journey in copywriting began.

My passion for copywriting was fueled by the copywriting course I bought from America Writers and Artists Inc. (AWAI). And since then I've been writing landing page content and other email copies as a freelancer. I also took great interest in resume writing and still write resumes for clients.

Recently, I started working for DailyPosts, a content writing company in the UK, as a remote ghost writer.

I know what makes a great content great. I write search-engine-optimized "skyscraper" content for firms trying to rank for a competitive keyword. My approach to writing content is to start with a strong introduction and keep the reader’s interest until the end. Yet, I use lots of sub-headings and ensure that readers with less time will be able to scan through the piece. I understand the unique needs of web readers and my writings reflect it.

When it comes to writing copies, I understand the art of hitting the right emotions and tailoring a product as the solution. I go beyond surface benefits and connect a product with a deeper emotional need of the customer. And my thorough approach to research, which ensures that I know a product better than the creators, allows me to back up the claims with facts.
