My experience in the humanitarian, refugee resettlement, and community development fields spans over ten years. In Sub-Saharan Africa, I have implemented training and supported the most-at-risk groups with partners such as IOM, UNHCR, and Church World Service. It has always been important for me to help with the integration process through cultural orientation, and so I have focused on training refugees to prepare them for resettlement in the 美國. I have bespoke training for different groups, such as families, unaccompanied minors and young solo travelers, which helps them to start a new life with dignity.
My responsibilities as a Lead Trainer include supervising field staff, managing training activities, coordinating logistics, and other operations with the accompanying training activities. I consider myself to be organized, responsive to the demands of the culture, and a flexible problem solver in difficult and chaotic environments. Along with my other responsibilities, I have also been able to maintain quality in our services through training and supervision of other frontline staff, ensuring that the services provided are in line with the objectives.
Alongside my professional training, I have a background in social work and case management, having supported women and youth through counseling, life skills training, and psychosocial support. As a case worker in RefuSHE, I was able to closely accompany young refugee girls and women as they tried to rebuild their lives through education, healing, and empowerment.
My strongest skills include trust and communication, and collaborating with various stakeholders. Each task, whether it needs training facilitation, field deployment logistics management, or support of a vulnerable individual, is performed with empathy, respect, and professionalism. Also, I have good knowledge of humanitarian principles, child protection, gender, and multicultural issues.
What motivates me is the chance to help people regain hope, and, in some cases, the real and enduring impact that is achieved. I am motivated to learn, grow, and help advance social justice and humanitarian aid.
