Job Description:
SSI is a market research company based from USA. Their main business is creating and collection data through surveys, which help their clients know the feedbacks and make marketing strategies for their business. The survey could be done either phone (offline) or web (online).
As a data processor, we are the one who checked and processed the data or survey results. We check the data first based from the questionnaire logics using SQL (Structured query Language) or SPSS syntaxes. Then after the that we send the clean statistical data to the clients where they can see the counts and percentages of the data collected. Since our company is based from USA, we usually communicate to our project managers there whenever there are special requests that needs to be done in the data files.
Responsibilities
Validate programming logic through marginal checks.
Check the data collected from a survey using SQL to validate if logics are correctly implemented by the programmers. Making sure that there are no Missing and Extra data. We also use SPSS syntax to validate data.
Communicate errors or inconsistencies in the data to project managers and/or programmers.
Data Manipulation (case to case bases). Update, insert or delete data based on client’s requests.
Prepare deliverables for client. Create layouts for the deliverables based from client’s needs. This includes the following.
SPSS (Tools use: IBM SPSS & Data Studio (company’s own software))
Custom Tables (Tools: Uncle professional)
Statistical Frequencies
ASCII (.dat file)
Excel files (delimited, comma separated values, .xls
Analyze content of the data
File Quality Assurance. Check all the files prepared to avoid issues and errors.
Send survey data and statistical reports to the client.
