The task was to re-brand Waltons back2school (a sub brand of Waltons a stationery store), and help them with a solution to sustain the brand all year round .The new Waltons back2school logo was designed by myself and a fellow member of the group. I was the Video editor for Dharma Moments (SABC 2) from February 2008 to May 2009 using Final Cut Pro 5.1.4 Duties: •Assembling all raw footage, and digitize them into the computer and synchronizing and storing them into files. •Digitally cutting the files to determine the rough edit. •Tweaking the rough edit for the online edit. Work Experience Breathe TV 02 Jacaranda Ave Pinelands Cape Town-- A small Durban Based production company owned by Paul Railton. I was the Video editor working on a variety of short documentary films, from May 2009 to June 2010 using Final Cut Pro7. Make My Day Pictures Paul Railton and Shelly Nel merged to make up the company Make My Day Pictures from June 2010 till June 2011. Mr Price I edit all the Mr Price TV Commercials from February 2010 till present. Barrows I edited Barrows internal Videos from June 2010 till September 2011. Durban International Film Festival I edited the Promo for Durban International Film Festival 2010 Wonderbra / FTV I edited the wonderbra final 4, and the insert for FTV on Brett Florens, the photographer that shot the final 4 2011. White Gold Assistant editor for White Gold, a movie based on the 1800’s Indian labours arrival to South Africa to work in the sugar cane plantation. Freelance From June 2011 I started freelancing as a video editor, with a retainer from Rooinooi Pictures, owned by Shelly Nel. The Ride Promo I edited the ride promo helping them to get the series with sabc 3 Mr Price I edited Internal Videos such as their Hr recruitment video, Dreams and Beliefs Video (unfinished symphony), Online stylist videos and Mr Price Home co-lab project video International designer co-lab with Henry Holland, Pixie Geldof, Kelly Osbourne and Chloe Norgaard Smollan I edited Internal documentary videos for their social environmental responsibility project with Eyethu, Their long service award winners, Their mini documentary for the UAE partnership, Their mini documentary for pick n pay smart shopper launch. Holly I edited her music video and epk for her Album twentyfourseven and her song Inhliziyo yami, which played on sabc 3. Work Experience Nguni TV 02 Jacaranda Ave Pinelands Cape Town-- From June 2012 I started editing for Nguni TV, Julie Laurenz, Carte Blanche working on inserts like, Serving a Community, Baby Ford, Educore, Taxi Cops, Freeloads, Professor Karabus and Criminal Cops. 50/50 also working on inserts like Lavender Hill, De Watering Kathu, Rhino and Princess Vlei ETV, ESAT I worked on the Durban etv news team, editing 1.30’ inserts for the 19:00 etv Prime bulletin and the 24 hour news channel. From June 2013 till August 2013 Rooinooi Pictures I started working permanently at Rooinooi Pictures from September 2013 till June 2015. Jaipur Rugs I edited the story of Jaipur, which is an International Rug company that wanted to connect the end user to the story of how the rugs are made and how it affects the lives of the artisans the make these beautiful rugs. Unilever I edited inspirational feel good stories of Unilever’s Bold Wins for their Conference. Bold Wins are some of Unilevers employee’s that are Living Bold and have been recognized for it. Freelance (Currently) I moved to Cape Town in July 2015 and started freelancing. I freelanced for Go Trolley on Nederburg Staff Profile, which is feel good stories and I edited other feel good stories for them. I freelanced for Nicky Greenwall on The Close Up a lifestyle program on etv which interviews local SA celebs and gives you an insight into their private lives. November 2015 - December 2015 3RD Floor Online .TV I working at 3rd Floor on a 1 year contract from June 2016 - May 2017 I crossed over from Final Cut Pro 7 to X, I started learning Cinema 4D, Played around in Adobe Audition, I helped writing articles for a blog that they will be launching soon, I did sound effects for some of their explainer animation . Nino Foody I edited a series of Nino foody stories for Attitude a Mauritian hotel group, where Nino an Italian guy travels and explores the food life of the Island of Mauritius. Spier I edited the Spier Staff Profiles, which were short feel good stories.
