I bus and pre bus tables, booths, and chairs, and travel the dining room to give customers more breadsticks if they want more, or if they want some while they wait for their order. I also take the orders out to customers. In addition I have cleaned the bathrooms and windows, as well as stocked coolers and the condiment stand as needed. This job has taught me much about quality customer service. Activities and Interests: ● Sunday School olunteer church activity V ○ I helped out once a month with taking care of the two-year-olds during the church service at: Faith Assembly of God in Anderson. I helped by playing with them, watching over them when they played in their playroom or the outdoors playground, and distributing snacks when we sat them down for our Bible story. ○ July 2015 - July 2019 ○ High School Involvement: Sophomore through Senior year ● Student Minister Youth Group (Volunteer) ○ I helped at Re:mix Student Ministries as a student minister. I assisted with cleaning up Wednesday night after service by doing things such as retrieving traffic cones from the parking lot, making sure everything was swept and vacuumed, putting chairs away, and cleaning up any other mess left behind at the end of the night. I helped with whatever was necessary to keep Re:mix running smoothly and the students feeling welcome. Re:mix is meant to be a place where we hope any student grades 6-12 can find a home and a family. Our goal was to be a welcoming and fun place, and as a person who loves people I wanted to be a part of it. ○ Attending since August 2013; Student minister since October 2018 ○ High School Involvement: Junior through Senior year ● National Honors Society Academic Club ○ A national organization for high school juniors and seniors who exhibit excellent scholarship, citizenship, character, service, and leadership qualities. ○ Inducted May 2018 ○ High School Involvement: Senior year ● Intercultural Competence Passport ○ A program that grants certification in working and interacting with individuals from other cultures, nationalities, ethnicities, religions, sexual orientations, and genders. We meet once weekly to learn a different aspect of intercultural interactions, including intercultural openness, awareness, curiosity, worldview, empathy, and communication. We then completed online modules to earn virtual badges to build up to certification. ○ August 2019 - April 2020 ○ University Involvement: Freshman year ● Women in Science Programs ○ This is a living and learning community centered around giving female (and now male) students involved in STEM majors guidance through their freshman year of university. They house involved students on the same few floors together in the residence halls, which gives them easy access to students in similar classes to go to for homework help and to form study groups. Students are also given a mentor to help give them extra guidance through their first year. This person is a resource for the student to go to with any major-specific or Purdue-related questions they may have. There are also monthly meetings where speakers are brought in to provide helpful advice such as on microaggressions, diversity, obtaining recommendation letters for graduate school or a job, as well as finding research and internship opportunities. ○ August 2019 - Present ○ University Involvement: Freshman year Skills ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● Differential Calculus Integral Calculus Minor skills in C programming QPR Training (suicide prevention) Adaptability Healthy work ethic Patience Time Management Skills Self-awareness Eager to work Empathy References: Pastor David Aaron Worship Leader and Youth Pastor Employed by: Faith Church Assembly of God, Anderson Known for: seven years Cell: - Brett Callahan Assistant Manager Employed by: Fazoli’s LLC Known for: three years Cell: Email: Tamara Fuller Assistant Manager Employed by: Fazoli’s LLC Known for: three years Cell: Email: Kaitlyn Dickey Assistant Manager Employed by: Fazoli’s LLC Known for: three years Cell: Email:
