Education Background 2024 -Fundamentals of Digital Marketing (Social Media Marketing, Search Engine Marketing, Search Engine Optimization, Content Marketing, Email Marketing) -Interactive Advertising Bureau Europe and The Open University 2024 - Certificate in Digital Marketing Revolution - University of Illinois offered through Coursera 2019 – 2023 Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Technology with IT majoring in Print Media – Maseno University 2014 – 2017 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (GRADE – C+) Work Experience 2022 – Internship at Science Africa Duties and Responsibilities I wrote two Solution Journalism Science stories that were published in the organization’s magazine which informed major implementations in both the National and County governments in the water sector. The two stories namely (Kenya: Boreholes, Relief to Nairobi Residents and Kenya’s Rural Areas Accessing Safe Drinking Water through Chlorine Dispensers) were published in the Organization’s magazine that was shared with relevant individuals for implementation in other areas. The two stories can be found in the organization’s website, https://scienceafrica.co.ke/ I processed Press Releases from different Science organizations into news story easily understood by the readers I covered science events organized by different science organizations and wrote stories about the events which were published in the organization’s online magazine. I took pictures that were used for publications in the stories I wrote. I edited the footage for posting in the social media platforms of Science Africa including YouTube, X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook as per the requirements of the specific platforms. 2022 – Maseno University Documentary Director Duties and Responsibilities I interviewed every voice that was to be used in the documentaries including the Kenya National Examinations Council Chairperson and the Vice Chancellor of Maseno University. The projects were “The New Face of Kisumu City and Maseno, The Fountain of Excellence”. The Kisumu project has showcased the importance of devolution and how it has led to the growth of cities like Kisumu. The Maseno University projects has been used to market the institution far and wide and has led to increased number of admissions in the year 2023 after the release of the documentary. I determined the types of shots to be taken for the documentaries which assisted a lot in getting better places for marketing the university and Kisumu city. As the director I determined the camera angles necessary for the documentary giving the documentary better viewership and making it appealing to the viewers. I wrote the script for the promotional documentary of Maseno University that was aimed at marketing Maseno University to prospective students, researchers and Innovators which has led to an increased number of students applying to join Maseno University for their tertiary studies. I participated in the editing of the final footage of the documentaries to the required size. Other Experiences I have published several human interest stories in the mainstream media newspapers including The Daily Nation, The Standard, The Star and Taifa Leo which have necessitated positive changes among the readers.
