Through my academic work as an anthropology major, I have developed a passion for studying communities. This past summer, I received a grant to conduct research on Native American foodways. In the summer of 2018, I spent ten weeks in a Costa Rica rain forest studying the vocalization habits of mantled howler monkeys. As graduation approaches, I am exploring professional and entrepreneurial opportunities that will provide practical applications for the skills and knowledge I have acquired, including interviewing people (and observing monkeys!), analyzing qualitative field research and quantitative data, and engaging in creative problem-solving and team-building.
