I am a communications strategist, editor, and media consultant with more than fifteen years of experience spanning international NGOs, corporate communications, development organisations, and leading newsrooms in East Africa.
Since 2017, I have co-owned and led Iliad Media Ltd in Kenya, a communications and media consultancy that publishes Ethical Business Africa, a platform dedicated to sustainability, climate, and ethical trade storytelling. At Iliad, I design and implement editorial strategies, manage investor engagement campaigns, and develop content solutions for businesses, NGOs, and international partners.
Earlier in my career, I worked with The New Times Publications in Rwanda during two separate stints. From 2004 to 2006, I served as Business and Development Editor, overseeing the launch of the Business Times magazine and helping transform the paper from a bi-weekly into a daily publication. I later returned between 2011 and 2013 as Chief Sub-Editor and management committee member, where I guided newsroom quality, editorial direction, and staff training. From 2007 to 2010, I was the in-house communications consultant at SNV Netherlands Development Organisation in Rwanda, producing reports, advocacy materials, and international visibility campaigns. Prior to that, I worked as Communications Officer at the Forum for African Women Educationalists in Rwanda, leading advocacy and donor engagement campaigns on girls’ education, and as a Communications Assistant and later Officer at ChildFund Kenya, where I supported newsletters, branding, and media relations.
