Administrative assistant, General Coordination of Postgraduate, Postgraduate in Latin American
Studies, UNAM.
Description: Academic-administrative management of the Postgraduate Program in Latin American
Studies Coordination, carrying out activities among which the following stand out:
Management of the operating budget, project budgets, and payroll. Quotes and purchase requests.
Requests for fees, travel expenses and travel insurances.
Internal and external evaluation of the Program.
Administration and data entering in different digital systems.
Attention face to face, by phone and email to students, national and international research professors,
and the public, about academic and administrative procedures. Design, implementation, evaluation,
and synthesis of administrative procedures.
Work team Coordination: meetings, deadlines, problem solving and team wellbeing.
Results and achievements: The evaluation, planning, and management of separate and joint processes
from different areas of the Latin American Studies Postgraduate Program resulted in an overview of
the strengths and opportunities, thus allowing an academic-administrative restructuring. Various
administrative procedures that users performed on a regular basis were streamlined and modernized,
maintaining the human warmth in the care provided. The organization chart of the work team was
modified, avoiding duplicate work and giving clarity to each member about the processes in their
charge. The management of the annual budgets resulted in academic events of international level,
greater support for students in their field investigations and an efficient purchase of office
requirements.
