I am Mrs. Edelyn Elep Borreros, 45 years of age, Filipino, married with two children. I am a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing in the Philippines, batch 1997. Passed the Nursing Licensure Examination and begun to work as a staff nurse. I have more or less 5 years hospital and clinical experience with my profession. I went to Lesotho (Southern Africa) because my parents were there as O.F.W. (Overseas Filipino Workers) for 20 years that time. I worked as a ward nurse for 6 months only due to discrimination. I decided to change my career because of less opportunity in the nursing field on the said country.
On March 1, 2008, I started my job as an Accounts Manager in the garments factory. I performed various duties and responsibilities in the office and became the caretaker of the whole factory alone when we shutdown and closed permanently. I went to another factories with the same job descriptions and easily adjusted to what company guidelines and protocols they have. I was doing the payrolls of the workers, the salaries and wages, the taxes of the company submitted every month, kept the petty cash, legal and important documents of the firm, secretary, personal assistant of the owners, receptionists, purchased the production stationery and other equipment needed in the line. My previous bosses had trusted me, treated me like their family and until now we are still communicating as friends.
On February 10, 2016 up to December 31, 2019, I was the Junior Accountant in one of the leading sandstone dealer in South Africa. I experienced using the SAGE One Online Accounting System and Quick Books software.
I handled the Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payable of the company. Did the Cash flows, taxes such as V.A.T., P.A.Y.E., 5% Withholding Tax and other revenue issues. I deal also with the Financial Statement wherein I was the one collecting all the data, and passing those information to the accountant responsible for our company. It was a good working relationship that was built between me and my employers but I need to go back to the Philippines because of family reasons.
In January 2020, my family went home for good. Unfortunately, the Covid-19 pandemic came, I was not given a chance to apply because of fear in acquiring the virus.
From last year, till now, I am looking for a job that I will be happy, satisfied and compensated.
I am kind, humble, honest, loyal, hardworking, trust-worthy and a God-fearing person. I am a perfectionist one, that is why I want my outputs to be well organized and systematic.
