My current role is a contracting/freelancing software developer, specialising in web development.
I have been a part of 2 successful startups - being Clevercare and Seespray. In both of these projects I have
been more than just a senior developer, but also system architect and technical consultant.
I am very lucky to have worked alongside some great local companies in New Zealand, like Company-X, as
well as international ones like ButlerTech and many others.

October 2014 - April 2015 (7 months)
Product co-founder, software architect, and development team leader.
In this senior role I was the senior developer, architect and designer for the product in a team of 3 developers.
The nature of Clevercare means the system and app has to be robust and reliable, which was achieved
through both a lot of product designing and testing, as well as a highly reliable and redundant hosting
platform.
Working in a team of 3 developers, I was able to bring the product to a point where it is easily managed
through a number of interfaces, with instant error reporting and reliability indicators.
While not full time, I am still involved with the technical aspect of the product, and ensure that it's
infrastructure is maintained and up to date.

Datacom provided me with an amazing foundation towards my software development career. From junior
to intermediate level, this role saw me working across a vast number of technologies and stacks, including
Microsoft .net and Oracle & Microsoft SQL, through to Native Android.
Through Datacom, I learnt a number of key skills, from technical through to interpersonal and practices.
Systems engineer at TALKINGtech
2009 - 2010 (1 year)
This Systems Engineer role was a very technical, and customer focussed role, which saw me maintaining and
administering a highly complex and globally distributed software package.
Through this role I gained very useful communication and customer management skills, as well as an
exposure the software development side of the product.
