Question 4
a. When we talk about online writing we talk about something entirely different from writing offline. Online
writing has a lot of extra elements like, hyperlinks, embedded videos, hypertext and other sorts of
multimedia objects. When we look at the screenshot of the blog, it’s important to notice that online
writing requires programming build an online platform where writers can read and write online. They may
also need maintenance and constant updates. Another difference as you can see is that online writing is
more dynamic than what offline writing would be perceived at.
In offline writing readers tend to read continuously, like in the blog below there are not photos or
hypertext when approaching offline writing. Online readers can quickly scroll through a page, but offline
readers have to spend a minimum of two minutes of a page to get more or less all the information.

b. The blogging code of conduct is more or less of a direction given to bloggers. This prevents a negative
blogging environment; it’s been agreed that when blogging it should be a safe space, before the blogging
code of conduct readers would make as they please on blogging content. In the past readers would leave
hateful comments on blogs, that in fact can affect the content on a person’s blog if not worse. The blog
above is from today, and if you read further on the blog its sincerer and civil. Now bloggers can choose to
ignore the trolls by programming the comment system, in most cases bad behaviour gets reported and
the website or page owners can take appropriate.
