Dr. Lisa Streitfeld

Currently, I am an art critic for the Huffington Post Arts. I have developed a holistic art theory as a reviewer of all media in a professional career of 37 years as a journalist for both mainstream and alternative media, including a decade as a financial/economics reporter. During the time I was a novelist and scriptwriter, I earned a living as a script analyst for a top Hollywod talent agency.

At the same time, I have run my own holistic freelance consulting and editorial business for 25 years. I have been contracted to do a range of services for companies and individuals: personal coaching, annual reports, brochures, copywriting, editing, proofing translation (Spanish into English), grant writing and publicity packages, as well as resume/Linked In writing. I also have worked as a personal coach, and lately have been combining my editorial skills with astrology advice for start-up and creative ventures--to great success.

I have always been ahead of the curve both in my creative works and consulting. For example, I tracked the Application Service Providers market explosion as a consultant at Internet.com (1999-200). In the 1980s, I was a counselor for Aquarian Age 2000, the first psychic hotline located in an office. I was one of the first New Media artists to incorporate social media in my art installations/exhibitions and pioneered the use of social media in the art world.

Recently, I have been working as an editor of dissertations, preparing the text for publication. My writing skills are as versatile as they are top level; I can write simultaneously for newspapers, academic journals, avant-garde magazines and blogs. My specialty is interpreting languages for general comprehension -- whether the language is metaphysical (astrology and alchemy), business (newsletters) or technical (web applications).
