Doreen Patricia O'kane

I have an MA in Media Production, where I specialised in documentary filmmaking. I have subsequently worked on several short documentary and promotional films for local organisations, artists and musicians.  I have worked in various roles - as director, producer, cameraperson, sound recordist, editor, and scriptwriter. I enjoy the storytelling aspect of editing – weaving together the various elements of the film to create the desired vision.   

Since 2001, I have been self-employed as a fine-art landscape photographer. I produce prints, greetings cards and a local calendar of my work, and am currently working on self-publishing a book of local landscape photographs.

I enjoy writing and research, and can write on a wide range of topics. I have a BSc in Science and am able to convey complex technical information in a way that is more readable and understandable.  I have had articles published and have written about various subjects - from travel writing to sustainable building methods.
