Dipto Karmakar

I am a full-stack web developer. I worked for an automation company as a full-stack software developer. I built a couple of desktop applications using C#, WPF and so on which reduced much overhead for the company. Then I completed a remote full-stack development program called Microverse. During that time, I pair programmed remotely with a partner every day building awesome apps using Ruby on Rails as well as vanilla JavaScript and React/Redux. Afterward, I worked as a technical support engineer for the school for three months. During this time, I met with students from different countries around the world, helping them by reviewing code and providing technical guidance based on my skills.

Python and Ruby are exciting and have a really enthusiastic developer community. A little more than a year ago I started learning about it because I wanted to build something that is future-oriented and easily accessible. Since then I have been developing web applications using Django, Rails and have been continually teaching myself about it. I would enjoy bringing my skills and enthusiasm to the company I will work in. 

My passion for programming started while I started college as a computer science student. I found it so exciting that I decided to go through an intensive study period and build my career in software engineering.

During my internship at Unipolar automation technologies. I worked on a desktop application. Here I was able to gain a deeper knowledge of software development and was able to directly contribute to the success of the scrum team and project. My self-taught skills and drive convinced Unipolar automation technologies to offer me a permanent role upon completion.

Later I worked on a web application using Ruby on rails. In that project, I have been able to learn how to write code efficiently in a team, improve legacy code and implement new features according to the client’s needs. I was also able to increase my expertise in web application development and improve my understanding of how the layers of a large project come together. I would like to improve on these skills and learn new ones with my next job opportunities.

With my determination, passion for software development and ability to adapt to new situations, I believe I am a good candidate as a Full Stack Software Engineer at any company that have a culture of mentorship that encourages growth.

 I am looking for an opportunity where I can work with some cool and challenging feature with a team as the role of full-stack Developer/ Django/ Rails.
