Denise Van Der Merwe

 With a Masters in Development and Management along with 11 years of experience, Denise is a very diverse individual when it comes to Data Management and Machine Learning. She is a native English speaking South African and has spent 3 years travelling through Asia, the UK and Middle East. She started her career while also studying at University in the Research and Environmental Consulting sector. At each opportunity to experience a new area of study, she also made sure to actively work and train in her new skills. Once she had the opportunity to work overseas she made a zealous effort to explore the cultures and work methodologies that the new adventures had to offer. Being a diverse professional allows her to combine all her skills from project management, field assignments and also continue her own learning journey. She has consulted on projects for the past 11 years, and experienced various cultures, ways of thinking and unique life experiences with coworkers of varying levels in Companies. She has joined projects at their infancy all the way to more mature projects, using basic to advanced project management skills and Data Analysis, interpretation and Machine Learning skills to assist various levels of projects to achieve milestones and project progress in timeous way. She has also worked in the Private and Government sectors, along with having experience in project liaison, budgeting and resource gathering positions. For the past 3 years she spent two years in Shenzhen, China, and one year in Kuwait.

She is inspired by other people’s dreams and goals and would love to assist companies in achieving their Data goals. She believes that sharing skills with others will help each one grow and become great, and has learned many lessons from all her coworkers and previous companies. She has an open approach to Data Science and believes that it’s important that she adapts to the company so that the company can have the best and most out of her Data Analysis and Algorythms.
