SUMMARY
I am a development practitioner with over twenty years of multidisciplinary experience in project formulation,
structuring, delivery, and evaluation. I have worked in national/sub-national government, private, academic
and international organization contexts. I am strong in planning, strategy, analysis, project delivery, grant
management, logistics, stakeholder and partnerships management. I am passionate about working in a
matrixed context that improves livelihoods and addresses the challenges of climate change and
sustainable development in developing countries.

inclusivity into the business model.

• I led the project evaluation study on deepening financial inclusion in hard-to-reach and under-serviced areas
by Uganda's largest indigenous bank Centenary Bank. This included preparation of study instruments,
conducting key informant interviews, analysis and triangulation of data curating the findings. A key

finding from the study was that the intervention had broken even one and a half years earlier than the
planned three-year mark.

• I led a team of over fifty technical and non-technical staff in operationalizing a municipal waste collection
and transportation PPP concession held by a start-up consortium of 31 SME companies covering 40% of
the city. This included securing bank performance guarantees, recruitment and training of staff, acquisition of
transportation fleet and service providers, and business development. This contributed to the improvement in
waste collection in the city from 40% to 60%.

• I led project formulation, coordination, stakeholder engagement and delivery as shown hereunder
• I led the preparation of a proposal to obtain early-stage financing for the provision of
Transaction Advisory Services by IFC towards developing the Kampala Integrated Solid Waste
Management PPP Project, which mobilized USD 1.1mn.
• I led the preparation, structuring and market popularization of the Kampala Integrated Solid
Waste Management PPP project estimated at USD 150mn. The process resulted in the award
and signing of the collection and transportation concession component of the project.
• I coordinated the preparation of the funding proposal estimated at USD 185,340 for
Improving Faecal Sludge FS Management for the On-Site Sanitation Project. USD 185,340
was mobilized from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for proof of concept which in turn
unlocked USD 5mn for the main project.
• I provided technical backstopping support for various urban socio-economic analysis studies,
surveys e.g.
• Technical and Environmental diagnostic study on integrated solid waste management in
Kampala.
• GIZ study on future collaboration on improving faecal sludge management FSM for on-site
sanitation in Kampala.
