PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
ProLanguage – Sibiu, Romania
February 2016 – Present
English Teacher
I have pursued my passion for teaching English by joining the team at a private language center in Sibiu.
I currently work on a full-time basis, and I am responsible for teaching English to groups of adults and children
alike. Furthermore, I also prepare students for Cambridge and IELTS exams.
Leuchars Primary School – Leuchars, Scotland
August 2016 – December 2016
Trainee Teacher
Having completed the Initial Teacher Education at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, I was provided with
the opportunity of teaching at Leuchars Primary School. I taught a class of 33 Primary 6 students (aged 10-11),
on a full-time basis.
Leuchars Primary School is a very high achieving school, which provides children with excellent academic
support. Most of the children come from service families, as Leuchars is a military base. Some of these children
require further emotional and social support, as they find it hard to adapt to the transition.
Due to family circumstances, I have decided to return home as of December 2016.
Examples of responsibilities:
• Planning and delivering well-structured lessons that provide the children with the knowledge, skills and
attributes they will require to flourish in life.
• Organising activities for children with additional support for learning needs, to be used by Pupil Support
staff (Using “Kitbag” – resource to support emotional resilience and mindfulness; Spelling strategies such
as “Prompt Spelling” for children with dyslexia; “The Hornet Literacy Primer”).
• Creating a communicative atmosphere in the classroom, which is conductive to learning.
• Delivering the curriculum effectively, while maintaining the high standards of the school.
• Building up good relationships with the students, so that they feel supported (particularly the children
form service families).
• Attending professional development courses which provide training for promoting Growth Mindset and
Mindfulness in the Classroom.
• Feedback to parents in order to motivate them to be involved in the academic and social growth of the
children.
Glashieburn Primary School – Aberdeen, Scotland
March 2016 – May 2016
Student Teacher – 9 weeks training
As part of my Initial Teacher Education, I taught a class of Primary 1 pupils (ages 5-6).
I was assigned a tutor within the school who observed several lessons and provided feedback. Having met the
requirements of the school, a University professor monitored one lesson to verify whether I have met the
requirements for Provisional Registration. My observation was successful.
I was responsible for teaching all curricular areas and communicating with the parents.
Forehill Primary School – Aberdeen, Scotland
October 2015 – January 2016
Student Teacher – 10 weeks training
School experience at the start of the Professional Diploma in Education. I worked with a class of Primary 7
pupils (ages 11-12). During my first two weeks, I observed lessons being taught in Nursery (ages 3-4), as well as
in the Primary 7 class. I built up a portfolio of observed lessons and focus point, which was then assessed by a
mentor. Having proved my abilities as a reflective practitioner, I was then assigned to teach the entire class for a
period of two months.
Private English Tutor- Sibiu, Romania
September 2009- July 2015
Starting 10th grade of high school, and throughout my undergraduate degree, I have worked as a private English
