Delano Dolphy

I am Delano Dolphy. I have been art and computer-oriented for as long as I have known myself. In high school I was exposed to areas such as programming, web design, and various aspects of visual arts such as sculpturing, still-life drawing and painting. Since then I have branched off primarily into the arts direction. I taught myself to use Photoshop way back in 2012 and have since been growing in the Graphic Design field.

In the year 2015, I started my tertiary studies at the University of the West Indies (UWI), Mona Campus in Jamaica where I live. In 2018, I completed my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Animation with First Class honours. While at UWI, I was exposed to Animation and much of what it entails. Traditional pencil and paper animation, 2D puppet animation with Toon Boom, 3D animation with Blender and Maya, and Motion Graphics with Adobe After Effects were among the things I learned during my tenure.

I however, have been primarily focused on Graphic Design due to the state of the job market in my country. This is the role I currently fill at Digicel Jamaica with the art team in the Marketing Department.

I am currently seeking to expand my professional horizons. I desire to grow, learn and explore other aspects of art and design in my employ as I have not been able to do so effectively or consistently. I do hope that my profile as well as my portfolio appeals to whomever will take the time to peruse them.
