Understanding of inequity- Its deep routed and spread cross the country and I have got
fair understanding of it. In order to attain excellence in education for all students, which,
though a herculean task, is solvable. The key stakeholders need to collectively work
together to make it happen.
Personal theory of change --“Currently, I believe my values are creativity and passion
and my strengths are goal orientation and relentless execution I am passionate about
creating an innovative mindset hence best way I can contribute to the world is to work
with primary and secondary students to develop scientific curiosity and problem-solving
mindset amongst children”

Problem statement of Be The Change Project: The children in class 7B have lack of orientation toward future
careers, a few of them have lack of interest in studies and absolute no planning for future. The project
objective is to do career planning for each of them & skill development of students to prepare them for future
using innovation & creativity tools to implement it.
Public Sector Track Approach: Inside out capstone project, to present white paper to subcommittee of
Karnataka state education ministry framing new education policy which has career planning on agenda.
Stakeholders/ target audience: The target audience is 40 students of class 7B in GKMPS Byatanapura school,
Bangalore. The stakeholders are the parents of these students and school management
Potential solutions/ recommendations: Clear career path, Alternative schooling, Apprenticeship after class
10th, Not so clear career path, any other path.
Timelines: Sep 23’- Did Ikigai for all 40 students , Oct 23’- Worked with their parents to align the career path
chosen by child, Nov 23’-Worked on Brigg’s Meyer test ( Psychometric test) if there is mis-alignment, Dec
23’/Jan 24’- Finalizing the career plan with individual focus on each student
Progress till Date: All 4 phases completed, shared individual career plan to students, white paper in progress
Ikigai of students whose
choice of profession does
not match with their
parents’ expectation
Thanks!
