ABOUT
Born in Lisbon (Portugal), developed an interest and aptitude for visual arts
in general and for drawing and painting in particulary at a very early age.
Then acquires the taste for the graphic and communication design and for
illustration too.
In this way she began studyng communication design at the Faculty of Fine Arts
of Lisbon University (Portugal).
Since then has been active as a freelance graphic designer in several projects of
Visual Identity, Editorial Design and Webdesign namely, still before graduation.
A traineeship at the renowed Atelier B2 (Lisbon/Portugal) was a focal point for
evolution.
Has recently finished a three year’s professional experience at company Linde
Portugal as Marketing Assistant. »
Nascida em 1981, em Lisboa, desde muito cedo desenvolve um interesse e aptidão
para as artes visuais em geral e para o desenho e pintura em particular. Mais tarde
adquire o gosto pelo design de comunicação e pela ilustração.
Como caminho natural ingressa no curso de Design de Comunicação da Faculdade
de Belas-Artes de Lisboa. Desde então tem vindo a desenvolver diversos projectos
na área do design de comunicação, nomeadamente em projectos de criação de
Identidade Visual, Design Editorial e Webdesign.
Um ponto fulcral para a evolução foi o estágio no renomado Atelier B2.
Terminou recentemente uma experiência profissional com a duração de três anos,
enquanto Marketing Assistant na empresa Linde Portugal. »

She combines traditional techniques (drawing, painting, typography) with new
Information and Communication Technologies. Also believe that the creative
and conceptual design process requires an itellectual exercise, an investigation
and an interdisciplinarity, allying so the conceptual and scientific components
just like builder and basic tools (Art History and Visual Studies, Aesthetic
and Archaeology).
She also complement her design activity with other graphic media: Illustration
and Photography. She has expertise in three illustration areas (editorial/
cartoon, children and scientific/archaeological).
A sua linguagem caracteriza-se por uma convergência entre as vertentes artísticas
e tecnológicas mais tradicionais e as emergentes tecnologias de comunicação.
Considera que o processo conceptual e criativo pressupõe o exercício intelectual,
a investigação e a interdisciplinaridade, aliando assim as componentes
conceptual e científica como ferramentas estruturantes e fundamentais (História
de Arte, Estética e Arqueologia).
Como complemento à sua actividade enquanto designer, trabalha em diversos
meios de comunicação gráficos: Ilustração e Fotografia. Especializou-se em três
ramos da ilustração (editorial/cartoon, infantil e científica/arqueológica).
