In Research and Development :
Developed dynamic mathematical models of biological networks for testing
and prediction of drug combinations (precision medicines) for haematological
cancers.
Involved in extensive clinical data mining and data curation related to cancer
biology networks (from databases like PubMed, KEGG etc).
Generated validations by literature based data scoping and tested the
mathematical model accuracy by conducting in-silico experiments and
establishing correlations with the wet lab results.
Gained knowledge of the drug networks, mechanism of action etc of SOC
drugs (Standard of Care drugs) for haematological cancers and aligned the
model for the same.
Managed and led a team of 5 for 2 years in terms of planning, tracking,
technical troubleshooting and project closure.
Was involved in bug fixing of the model and making it QC compliant.
Re-hauled and redesigned the in-house database for maintaining records of
bugs and took ownership for populating and maintaining the same.
In Quality Control :
Was in-charge of conducting quality checks of the in-house softwares every
version. Carried out exhaustive testing of the software code by creating
different scenarios to test the new features as well as the pre-existing
features. Coordinated with the software developers in terms of giving inputs
regarding the software bugs as well as new requirements and finally
supervising the release of these softwares.
Obtained hands on experience of working on relational database management
systems, carrying out SQL queries etc.
Conducted QC of the mathematical model, in terms of validating the network
both statically and dynamically.
Conducted QC of the drug networks and drug validations.
In Precision Medicine :
Was involved in creating virtual cancer patient profiles with the help of the inhouse software. Also customised these profiles manually with respect to
giving them the indication characteristics (like MDS, AML, MM, GBM, ETPALL) in terms of driver mutations, dominant pathways, drug sensitive and
drug resistance loops.
Handled pathological reports and genomic data (NGS data) of cancer
patients and extracted and analysed relevant dataset using web databases like
DNA Nexus/DNA Rails.
Involved in preparing SOPs and training resources.
