Provision, test, and install high bandwidth circuits (OC3, OC12, OC48, OC192, 1Gig, 10Gig, 40Gig, and
100Gig circuits) including Cisco and Juniper switches. Learned remotely with training provided by peer
technicians in Tulsa, OK and Ashburn, VA. Able to work independently with no on-site supervision.
Compiled notes and documents for future reference and potential training opportunities. Also provided
one-on-one training to an on-site teammate with no prior optical transport experience. Never caused any
outages despite installing and disconnecting hundreds of high bandwidth circuits, many of which would

US and worked regularly scheduled overnight grooms to shorten telco last mile paths providing cost
savings to the company. Provided troubleshooting guidance as needed to fellow technicians undergoing
cross-training. Established positive, professional, and ongoing relationships with engineers in Manila and
elsewhere who design circuits. Always eager to help provide technical assistance whenever asked.
2001 to 2007
Telecom Tech Team Lead
Led 10-person team responsible for installing all DS3’s, OC3’s, and OC12’s for entire Eastern U.S. (at the
East Operations Service Center). Disseminate work, drive and prioritize escalations with field managers,
remotely turn-up facilities, make software xconns, test with field techs and customers. Work with LECs
testing and accepting their loops. Created MS Access database to manage daily workflow for the Team.
Also scheduled all long distance network groom activities for the entire continental U.S.. Created monthly
individual/group productivity reports for management. Played major role restoring traffic after 9/11.
Selected nationwide for top performer recognition and sent on a week-long corporate award event at
resort destination.
