David Cassilo

I began my career as a journalist, where I quickly developed a key role at our organization in growing our social media platforms. In this role, a common day on my beat also had me shooting and editing video, creating written blog content in a content management system, appearing in podcasts and online video programming, taking and editing pictures, and using data analytics.

Eventually, I decided to go back to school for my PhD, where I studied media and communication. By conducting research in this area, I developed the ability to critically assess the communication strategies of individuals and organizations. As a researcher, I have become an expert in my field, frequently published in my discpline's top academic journals and presenting at our academic conferences. Additionally, I am a communication professor for undergraduate students.
