I have Facilitated courses and lectured for a variety of private
colleges and training Providers. The subjects included human
resources management, consumer behaviour, ergonomics, and basics
of supply chain management.
I have also consulted on the development of a multiskilling project at
a heavy vehicle manufacturing plant.
TRAINING MANAGER/CONSULTANT AT TOYOTA (SA)
MANUFACTURING, DURBAN
July 1987 – April 2005
While at Toyota I Developed and facilitated senior management
training programmes.
I also used Teleometrics and other material in presenting leadership
development programmes.
I managed the multiskilling programme in both the engine plant and
upholstery plant. There were approx. 1500 employees.
During this time, I also designed and validated the skills assessment
process for the entire multiskilling programme.
I was also tasked with the development and implementation of the
skills and education programmes for the Logistics, Quality
Assurance, and Body Plant departments for approximately 1900
employees.
I also designed and implemented the Team Leader Development
programme. This included installing an ABET programme for team
leaders.
I recruited selected, and placed 100 candidates from a list of 425 for
an NQF Level 1 Learnership Programme.
