Darrin Gonzales

Hello! I'm Darrin Gonzales and I hail from the small town of Gering, NE. I am currently residing in the beautiful city of Amsterdam in the Netherlands where I am attending the University of Amsterdam in pursuit of a Literary Studies research Master's. I graduated with my Bachelor and first Master's degrees in English Literature from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and I plan on pursuing my PhD upon graduating from my current program. Per the nature of my studies: reading, writing, and researching are what I do best. This readily equips me to write and create engaging content and also provides me with the tools to edit all kinds of copy on both the micro- (e.g. punctuation, grammar, spelling) and macro- (providing suggestions to make content more engaging or interesting, suggesting additions and revisions to focus or broaden content, etc) levels.

Though relatively new to the world of freelancing, I am dedicated to producing thought-provoking and fresh content on any field and my heavy background in research (the emphasis of my current program) provides me with the tools to thoroughly and critically investigate a wide range of knowledge and content areas. My scope of vision extends beyond the field of literature and cultural studies. My background in music as a trained pianist and trombonist has equipped me with the skills to write on musical topics. I am also incredibly interested in the why's and how's of social media and analyzing its influence on how we are and what we consider social in the 21st century.

All in all, my goal is to provide you with the engaging content or editing skills your company, blog, website, or any other writing-based platform deserves. I am a dedicated and fun to work with individual who brings high energy and focus with him on any assignment and is readily available to be contacted freely on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and the weekend. On Tuesday and Thursdays, I am available outside the hours of 1:00-5:00PM as I am in lecture during those times.
