Hi there!
I grew up in the snow capital of the U.S.: Valdez, Alaska. I graduated high school at 17 and went directly into Mechanical Maintenance on the 800 mile long Trans-Alaska Pipeline System, where I completed an internship for the largest oil transport company in Alaska. I received my Millwright 1 and 2 certifications previously in high school and started my Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering with a Minor in Mathematics in 2017. Since then I worked as a Heavy Equipment Technician, diagnosing and repairing vehicles in the largest fleet of equipment that operates at International Airport in Anchorage, AK. I survived repairs in brutal winters in whiteout conditions and was able to continually show my mechanical aptitude as a 19 year old; working with older mechanics that had more years of working on equipment than years I had been alive. As I progressed in my degree, I devoted more time to academics and this left no room for full time work. Currently, I am approaching one year in a Plant Engineering Internship for a local telecommunications company. This position requires me to be very flexible and precise at all times, as responsible for the communication of information between databases and occasionally work in circuit layout where I am involved directly in the engineering of large data/communications systems. I am also very proficient in 3-D modeling, fluid mechanics, material science and selection, SQL, electrical theory, and lots more as these are things that I use day to day. In my free time, I am a project manager, machinist, and fabricator for the Universities Rocketry Club, where I am in charge of the engineering design and testing of several types of rocket fuel injectors.
I hope we are able to collaborate in the near future and I look forward to hearing from you.
