I’m a freelance graphic and web designer at my own company, Pickle Jar Studios, based in Redmond, OR. I love working with my own clients, which are mostly in the food and beverage industry, but I’m looking to add some variety to my work experience and I would love to work more in a team setting.
I’m exceptional at communicating with clients and managing projects. This is due in part to working directly with my own clients for the last four years in various freelance and contract roles, and in part to my background in marketing and customer service. I am often required to switch between tasks so that my clients and projects remain on track, all the while keeping up client communication via phone and email.
I currently contract part time on a recurring basis with Humm Kombucha, a company in Bend, OR, where I work closely with their digital strategist. I have been writing blog articles and collaborating with the Humm team since September 2016 on digital and marketing strategy, as well as effective headline, copy, and CTA strategies.
I have created blog content, designed infographics, styled and created original food photography and designed websites and landing pages while collaborating with developers and teams of all sizes and types. I have written ad copy, blog articles and created recipes for clients like Humm Kombucha, Burgerville, and New Seasons Market. I can help with social media strategy and marketing as well.
Some details about my education and experience: I have two degrees from Oregon State University, one in Business with a focus in Marketing (2007) and one in Graphic Design (2013). Since then, I’ve had internships, corporate positions, and a variety of contract and freelance work. Nothing has made me happier then being my own boss and collaborating at a ground floor level with other small businesses. It’s what makes me jump out of bed every morning!
