Associate Account Director
January 2010 - January 2011 (1 year 1 month)

As the company restructured internally as a continuous improvement effort, I
was given a choice between client servicing or event operations as I was dual
disciplined.
I realized that my pride and joy is when a client believes and accepts the ideas
that I pitched to them and it resulted me to chose client servicing.
A shift in my event career where I was promoted to directly report to the
COO and to be one of the key players in managing the event sales and
marketing department. In a nutshell, my role is to focus on client servicing &
management, brand management, conceptualizing event ideation, developing
360 marketing proposals, pitching process, cost management and managing
expectations (both internally and externally).
In year 2011, i have spearheaded the Volkswagen Das Auto Show 2011 where
the 1st 360 degrees projection drive show was developed. The event was
recognized by the automobile industry as the best singular brand automobile
show in Malaysia. This event was not only a milestone for the company but

Event Coordinator (Internship)
May 2006 - October 2006 (6 months)
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
I chose hotshoes to be the platform for my internship knowing that I will be
exposed to the world of events management in a different light. Playing a
support role to both my mentor (event director) and the senior event executive,
I was roped into both planning and executing various type of events. Eg:
Product launches, award dinners, brand and trade roadshows, etc...
The biggest highlight of my internship was that I was given 2 (two)
opportunities to manage the entire event independently from planning to
execution stage. Opportunities like these allowed me to understand the
monetary / budgeting part of the event which directly leads to company's
revenue.
