• Roland Plotter
• Onyx ProductionHouse RIP
As Large Format Supervisor, my duties encompassed an entire start to finish
process. Beginning with artwork prepress in order to prep it for nesting and
eventually ripping. Jobs would be grouped by urgency and by machine.
Multitasking was key to this job where printing, routing and finishing were
done simultaneously in order to effectively maximize print vs output time. Turn
around time is crucial to large format and often practicing proper material
usage and reuse saved time and money. Operating 3 to 4 machines takes a
concentration and an understanding of various jobs in different stages and
which stage to step in. The right mix of design knowledge coupled with print
know how and hands on experience, Large Format becomes a force that can
create a highly efficient operator.

completion. Production Supervisor encompasses human resources, effective
delegation and use of time, vast knowledge of production machinery and their
processes. With these factors, a Production Supervisor is always on his/her
toes, making sure that day to day operations run smoothly.
