Military Action of US in response to NoKor
threat
North Korea a.k.a Nokor
Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPKR) is part of East Asia bordered by China and by Russia
along the Amnok (known as the Yalu in China) and Tumen and Pyongyang as their capital bordered by
China and by Russia along the Amnok (known as the Yalu in China) and Tumen.
Form of government
In the government of North Korea, the cabinet is the administrative and executive body. The North Korean
government consists of three branches: administrative, legislative, and judicial. However, they are not
independent of each other.
But in reality North Korea is describes itself as a self-reliant socialist state and holds elections. Critics
says that North Korea is a totalitarian dictatorship which uses the full extent of their autonomy and sees
power limitless.
Economy
The founder and first leader of North Korea, Kim Il Sung, created the country's policy of juche or "selfreliance," which cut off North Korea economically and diplomatically from the rest of the world, even in
times of great need, such as famines. The top priority of this country is all about industrialization.
Developing heavy industry, with parallel development in agriculture and light industry. But in terms in
agriculture, North Korea is lacking in agricultural resources with a limit agricultural production. Climate,
terrain, and soil conditions are not particularly favorable for farming, with a relatively short cropping
season.
North Korea's Status Quo
Upon surfing on the web there's a lot of articles and news about what is happening inside north korea, I've
watch a video regarding on a girl who escape the life in north korea and she says that living insinde that
country is a hell, people doesn't have a freedom of choice where everything is dictated by the governmenthow you look (haircut), what you should watch and you should not watch on television, Between 150,000
and 200,000 North Koreans live in prison camps surrounded by electrified fencing, according to South
Korean government estimates and Human Rights Watch. The worst camps are for those who commit
political crimes, and offenders can have their entire extended family imprisoned with them
NUCLEAR WEAPONS
North Korea nowadays is focusing on creating Weapons of Mas Destruction WMD such as nuclear
weapons,

The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) has an active nuclear weapons program and tested
nuclear explosive devices in 2006, 2009, 2013, and twice in 2016. The DPRK is also capable of enriching
uranium and producing weapons-gradeplutonium. North Korea deploys short- and mediumrangeballistic missiles and successfully launched long-range rockets in 2012 and 2016. North Korea is also
believed to possessbiological and chemical weapons programs.
North Korea's interest in a nuclear weapons program dates to the end of World War II. Since then,
Pyongyang developed a nuclear fuel cycle capability and has both plutonium and enriched uranium
programs capable of producing fissile material. North Korea declared it had roughly 38.5kg of weaponsgrade plutonium extracted from spent fuel rods in May 2008, however external estimates have varied. [1]
In November 2010, North Korea unveiled a uranium enrichment program ostensibly intended to produce
low enriched uranium for power reactors, though it is possible for Pyongyang to produce highly enriched
uranium for weapons purposes. [2] North Korea conducted five nuclear weapons tests in 2006, 2009,
2013, and twice in 2016 claiming that the January 2016 test was a thermonuclear device; however, experts
remain skeptical.
And thus, the activities regarding on the North Korea's nuclear activity has raised threats to the world but
especially to the United States.

Armistice- An armistice is a formal agreement of warring parties to stop fighting. It is not necessarily
the end of a war, since it may constitute only a cessation of hostilities while an attempt is made to
negotiate a lasting peace. he Korean Armistice Agreement is the armistice which ended the Korean War. It
was signed by U.S. Army Lieutenant General William Harrison, Jr. representing the United Nations
Command (UNC), North Korean General Nam Il representing the Korean People's Army, and the Chinese
People’s Volunteer Army. designed to "insure a complete cessation of hostilities and of all acts of armed
force in Korea until a final peaceful settlement is achieved. No "final peaceful settlement" has been
achieved yet. The signed armistice established theKorean Demilitarized Zone. put into force a cease-fire,
and finalized repatriation of prisoners of war. The Demilitarized Zone runs not far from the 38th parallel,
which separated North and South Korea before the Korean War.
US Role in the Armistice
Way back in 1950, the US had discussed an agreement to end the Korean War, this would end the fighting,
provide assurances against resumption and protect the future security of UNC forces. The United States
decided there needed to be a military armistice commission of mixed membership that would supervise
all agreements with both sides needs to agree to cease the introduction into North Korea of any
reinforcing air, grounf or naval units or personnel and to efrain from increasing the level of war
equipment and material existing in Korea. The U.S. also desired to make a demilitarized zone that would
be roughly 20 miles wide. The agreement would address the issue of prisoners of war which the U.S.

negotiators were Chief of Army Staff General Nam Il, a North Korean Deputy Premier, and United States
Vice Admiral Charles Turner Joy
a five-part agenda was agreed upon] and this guided talks until signing of the armistice on July 27, 1953.
The items to be discussed were:
1.
Adoption of agenda.
2. Fixing a military demarcation line between both sides so as to establish a demilitarized zone as a
basic condition for cessation of hostilities in Korea.
3. Concrete arrangements for realization of a ceasefire and armistice in Korea, including
composition, authority and functions of a supervisory organization for carrying out the terms of a
truce and armistice.
4. Arrangements relating to prisoners of war.
5.

As an individual who will be affected if ever there will be a war between US-Noko apropos in nuclear
threats I believe that US as the dominant country in terms in military and economic power should do
some actions that will stop the action of north korea’s nuclear threat which can trigger a world war 3. A
nuclear weapon is not only a primary weapon but it is a WEAPON OF MASS DESTRUCTION that can
entirely erase an area nor a country that will be targeted. The “Great” President/”Leader”- Kim Jong-un
has been isolating north Koreans for ages not only isolating them and dictating those people just to
comply with his military actions even if his people will starved-to-death.
As an individual who will be affected if ever there will be a war between US-Nokor apropos in nuclear
threats. I believe that US as the dominant country in terms n military and economic power should do
some actions regarding on the arising threat of North Korea
Now what should the US actions and must to in order to fight and stop Kim Jong-un threatening not just
the US but the whole world with his nuclear weapons.
Let’s us try to talk with them first and have our peace talks. Settle everything that meets the interest of
both sides with a diplomatic communications between the countries involve which is the US and North
Korea.

Engage North Korea in Negotiations
We must confront the issue of North Korea’s weapons with diplomacy. The countries in the region are
asking the U.S. to talk directly with the North Koreans. The United States should remain flexible in its
negotiation tactics, offering to work with others in the region. The UN Security Council or other
international organizations or figures could help mediate discussions. However, it is essential to impress
upon the countries surrounding North Korea that North Korea’s possession of nuclear weapons threatens
the countries of the region and their own national interests. We must encourage South Korea, in
particular, to see the North as a threat, not simply a wayward relative. If the United States enters into
negotiations with the North Koreans, the support the U.S. would receive from its allies in the region would
significantly diminish tensions between the United States and its Asian allies. The United States should
begin negotiations with North Korea immediately. We should be willing to conduct talks anywhere that
North Korea is willing to meet us. We should be willing to engage in diplomatic give-and-take to ensure
that North Korea ends its nuclear program. Promoting talks is the best and safest way to halt the growing
crisis with North Korea and promote peace and security for the region.
If this negotiation thing will not be effective like what Filipino says “Kung ayaw sa santong dasalan
daanin natin sa santong paspasan” if north korea will not take the proposal and always declining the
diplomatic engagement then I think it’s time to use a metal fist with this.

Lunch a Preemptive Military Strike
The security of the United States is in jeopardy as long as this regime in North Korea is in power. In order
to eliminate the nuclear threat posed by North Korea, we must act quickly and decisively. A speedy,
surgical attack on nuclear weapons development sites will destroy North Korea’s ability to make nuclear
bombs, initiate the downfall of Kim Jong-Il’s regime, and send a clear message that the United States will
not accept nuclear proliferation. Waiting much longer before taking action will ensure that North Korea
will have at least one nuclear bomb that it could use against its neighbors, if not against the United States.
Now the goals of these actions are: 1) Eliminate North Korea’s threat of nuclear war by destroying the
reactors and processors that are producing weapons-grade plutonium and uranium. 2) Communicate to
other states that nuclear proliferation is unacceptable. U.S. Policies. 3) Use the U.S. military to destroy
North Korea’s nuclear weapons production facilities. And 4) Prepare to respond to any North Korean
attacks.
