CLINICAL PRACTICUM EXPERIENCE
Practicum Clinician at Community Psychological Services, Florida Institute of Technology,
Melbourne, FL, August 2019 – Present

Population served: Outpatient community mental health clinic operating on a sliding scale
serving children, adolescents, adults, and elderly from Brevard County.
Responsibilities: Engage in weekly individual therapy sessions with adult clients fitting a wide
of variety of demographics, psychological disorders, and physical and mental disabilities.
Conduct clinical intake interviews. Participate in weekly group supervision with licensed
psychologist and individual peer supervision. Maintain client files with all notes weekly. Write
progress notes, treatment plans, intake reports and discharge summaries. Administer and score
assessments to aid in client treatment and document progress in treatment. Complete weekly
administrative duties to assist in ethical client documentation and maintain HIPAA compliance.

Population Served: 1 of 14 Department of Health Sexual Abuse Treatment Programs for
children, adolescents and adult non-offending caregivers. FLP’s goal is to provide the highest
standard, evidence-based psychological services to a diverse clientele of sexually abused
children, adolescents, and their families. Client’s receive Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral
Therapy (TF-CBT).
Responsibilities: Facilitate weekly individual and group therapy for adolescent clients that have
been affected by sexual abuse. Conduct clinical intake interviews for potential new clients.
Administer, score, and interpret psychological assessments. Write integrated structured intake
reports. Work within a team setting and participate in weekly group supervision. Attend and
participate in weekly team meeting. Meticulous documentation along department of health
guidelines and progress note writing. Maintain deadlines according to department of health. Plan
individual sessions along with TF-CBT modules. Complete master treatment plans, midterm
assessment updates, midway treatment plan updates, and family safety plans. Provide outreach in
the community to increase referrals.

Responsibilities: Led mindfulness group therapy and psychoeducational groups on dialectical
behavioral therapy topics for adolescents. Wrote chart notes for group sessions in credible. Took
referrals for possible intakes on the unit and staffed with clinician. Transported clients to the
hospital for medical needs. Helped clients overcome mental health struggles. Many clients are
dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma and suicidal ideation. Worked 12.5-hour shifts
