Teacher and Writer
PROFILE
I’m a neurodivergent all-star who moved first
into teaching and then into writing to make a
positive difference in the world. As a teacher,
I’m a 21st century educator with strong
technology and PBL integration into my
classroom teaching, favoring the Google suite.
I also utilize a strong focus on drama and play
to ensure engagement. As a writer, I work
extremely hard in both my poetry and prose to
weave together diverse and inclusive
narratives that build elaborate and extended
universes that remain interconnected. My
debut novel is launching in 2021 in
partnership with Oghma Creative Media, and
I’ve been featured in multiple Poetry
Magazines – Open Minds Quarterly,
Cotyledon, and The Spadina Literary Review
for my poem “Pain + Love – Pain + Love.”

Various Publications and projects. More recently I have transitioned
into focusing on new media, writing, and editing on top of my normal
workload, utilizing my strong writing, editing, and comedy skills honed
through teaching. With a looming novel launch next year and several
poetry features in the works, I’m excited to be looking for more
freelance creative, editing, and copywriting work! Take a look at my
website www.mcraewrites.com for even more information on me and
my projects.
