Cooper Warner

I am a recent graduate of Drake University with a bachelor of arts and mass communication. I majored in strategic political communication, minored in politics with a concentration in rhetoric. In the fall I will study at Marquette Law School for my Juris Doctorate. 

I have professional experience editing textbooks for Tighe Publishing. I've written for several different publications including Johns Hopkins Imagine Magazine where I have had two featured articles. Drake is one of the top ranked journalism schools in the country and my classes and training reflect that. I did an internship creating photos and blog style content and interviews for College Fashionista. I also spent a year working for the non-profit National Alliance on Mental Illness producing content for their social media, website, newsletters, and political briefs. Finally I worked for Disability Rights Iowa as their communications coordinator which included running all their social media and website, writing press releases and working with traditional news outlets. In my free time I am writing a novel, maintaining my photography blog, and writing poetry.

What I have learned through my education and work experience is how to be well rounded as a writer, creator, and editor. If you need a writer, a second pair of eyes to proofread, someone to bounce ideas off of, a fresh, young perspective, or a content creator, I am the one for you.
