With the carrier-class soft switch in place, this greatly improved the reliability for internal office telephony to incorporate the VOIP setup, which enabled the company to be able to communicate with other branches and regional offices of Eastern Africa. All these offices were just an extension away. This significantly enhanced communication and also lowered the cost of communication. This was to be expanded to all Liquid Telecom offices in Africa and beyond. I was the technical lead on VOIP projects between Liquid Telecom U.K and any clients within Eastern Africa.
