i am Clinton Ochieng, a passionate and driven individual currently pursuing a Diploma in Computer Science at Ziwa Technical Training Institute, expecting to graduate in June 2026. I have a deep interest in technology and innovation, and I am committed to using my skills to solve real-world challenges and make a positive impact on society.
Throughout my academic journey, I have developed solid skills in software development, system management, networking, and computer repair. I have hands-on experience working with tools and technologies such as PHP, Laravel, MySQL, ReactJS, and Python. I enjoy building practical systems, and one of my major projects is a virtual counseling platform aimed at helping students manage stress and mental health. The system integrates AI-based support, counselor session booking, and helpful resources like videos and wellness tips.
I am also the creator of the “Eat Smarty” application, which promotes healthy eating habits by helping users track their diet. In addition, I developed a student results management system that allows trainers to enter marks, track student performance, monitor fee payments, and generate official certificates.
At Ziwa Technical, I serve as the Industrial Liaison Officer (ILO), where I help coordinate internship opportunities, communicate with organizations, and represent student interests. I have written official letters and organized soft skills training programs in collaboration with organizations like NORTA and SHOFCO. These experiences have helped me build strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Outside academics, I have worked as a freelancer on platforms like Remotask, where I gained exposure to online work and digital problem-solving. I am always eager to learn and grow, and I often experiment with tools like Shopify, C++, and web development platforms to expand my knowledge.
I am also passionate about youth empowerment. Through my involvement in the “Kazi Mtaani” project, I have explored ideas for creating job opportunities for young people by collaborating with NGOs and government bodies.
I believe in integrity, hard work, and continuous learning. My referees, including lecturers and technicians at Ziwa Technical, can attest to my commitment, reliability, and positive attitude. I am confident that with my skills and mindset, I can contribute meaningfully to the tech industry and help build innovative solutions that change lives.
