I am Clarence Uhunoma Ogiesoba-Eguakun, a dedicated researcher and data analyst with a strong interdisciplinary background spanning environmental science, education, public health, and data-driven decision-making. My academic foundation includes a Bachelor’s degree in Animal and Environmental Biology and a Master’s in Hydrobiology and Fish Biology. Currently, I am pursuing a PhD in Applied Hydrobiology at the Federal University of Technology, Minna, with a focus on sustainable environmental solutions and ecological assessments.
My professional journey has been diverse and impactful. As a Data Analyst at the Federal University of Technology Minna, I manage data collection, statistical analysis, database modeling, and visualization to support academic research. My experience in the field of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), including roles at MexCube Construction Limited and HSE Managers & Safety Consultants, involved developing and enforcing safety protocols across various project sites, ensuring compliance and promoting workplace safety.
In education, I served as a Mathematics Teacher at Government Secondary School, Dei-Dei, where I designed lesson plans, delivered curriculum-based instruction, and handled examination processes. My passion for education also led me to earn a Postgraduate Diploma in Education, enhancing my teaching strategies and understanding of educational technology.
My research work spans national and international boundaries, covering projects on environmental monitoring, water quality, and pollution analysis. These include investigations into microplastics in Ugandan wetlands and ecological assessments in Nigerian rivers. I have contributed to several academic publications focused on environmental health, water quality, and sustainable development.
Technically, I am proficient in tools such as Python, R, SQL, SPSS, Power BI, GIS software, and more, which I utilize for data analytics, scientific research, and reporting. I am equally equipped with soft skills in leadership, communication, teamwork, project coordination, and problem-solving—qualities that have proven essential in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
I am a member of several professional organizations, including the Nigerian Environmental Society and the Institute of Safety Professionals in Nigeria, reflecting my commitment to continuous learning and professional growth. Outside of work, I enjoy volunteering, football, chess, traveling, music and gaming.
