I'm a Data Governance and Quality Assurance professional with over five years of experience helping organizations manage data as a strategic asset. Currently serving as the Lead Data Governance Officer, I oversee the development and implementation of enterprise data policies that improve compliance, reduce risk, and support data-driven decision-making.
In this role, I led the institutionalization of critical policies such as Data Retention, Tiering, and Handling. These efforts delivered significant cost savings and strengthened system resilience by optimizing data lifecycle management. I also serve as secretariat to the Data Governance Management Committee, ensuring alignment across business units and governance priorities.
Previously, I worked as the Enterprise Data Steward where I launched the Data Quality Service Desk and deployed the Enterprise Data Dictionary. These initiatives reduced issue resolution time and support workload, making it easier for users to discover and understand data on their own. Before that, I was the Lead Data Quality Assurance Officer and introduced logic-based cleanup strategies that raised our customer data quality from 80 percent to 99.5 percent while cutting millions in estimated remediation costs.
My technical stack includes Snowflake for SQL-based data operations, Collate for metadata and catalog management, QuickSight for self-service dashboards, and PowerApps and Power Automate for developing internal tools that support data stewardship workflows. I also work with SQL and Excel for data profiling, rule execution, and quality analysis.
With a background in teaching SQL and database management in the academe, I combine technical depth with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. I focus on making governance work in real-world settings by translating complex frameworks into practical actions that support data-driven decisions, especially in highly regulated environments like banking.
